FAQ
Yes, under the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 and The Veterinary Surgeons (Exemptions) Order 2015, veterinary consent must be obtained prior to physiotherapy for animals with previous or current pathologies, including post-operative rehabilitation and post-injury. This allows us to obtain full medical history of the condition and provide the most effective treatment for your animal.
Cases for maintenance or performance purposes do not require veterinary consent prior to treatment. However, if there are any concerns raised during physiotherapy sessions, such as lameness, your animal will be referred back to your Veterinarian for investigation.
Please find the Veterinary Consent Form HERE.

Horses: Please ensure your horse is clean, dry and is brought in from the field in time for your appointment. It is important to have not worked your horse at least an hour before the appointment as this can impact my palpation. Please also take note of your horse's last farrier, saddle fitter and dentist appointments as these dates can be useful in forming a comprehensive assessment of your animal.
Dogs: Please ensure your dog is clean and dry, including any mud or excrement. Please also have an appropriate collar/harness and lead available for the appointment.
